Full Body Massage

What You Can Expect
Massage therapy has come a long way since the days of massage parlors. This therapeutic approach to holistic healing offers deep rewards for both body and mind, in addition to as yet untapped potential as a full body healing modality.

Still, many patients can become apprehensive before their first
relaxation massage appointment and would like to have information regarding the procedures and process that occurs when you visit a massage therapist for a full body relaxation massage.

These massage procedures may be prescribed by your family physician in response to any stress you may be going through in your life, including but not limited to bodily aches and pains, muscle aches and pains, general stress and unrest, and even insomnia and anxiety.

Your first visit to your massage therapist will include a brief discussion about your symptoms and pains, as well as a course of treatment plan that may or may not involve other therapies or healing modalities for you to take part in.

A full body massage will cover your entire body starting with the back, upper back, lower back, sides and spine; backs of legs, down to each foot before moving to the next leg; shoulders, front and back, neck and scalp; face, forehead to chin; arms and hands one after the other moving down from the top of the arm to the palms, finishing with a wrist and hand massage.

You will then turn over and the front of your body will be massaged beginning with the ribcage and sides of the body; abdominal massage starting from the belly up to the neck; front of the legs, one leg at a time from the bottom to the top then back to the front of each foot in turn.

A good full body massage will not only relax you and eliminate body aches and pains, but will also help your body to release toxins.
